homeys records new release,something new, features the first collaboration between marina p and the upcoming french producer ksd. once the original track was completed, the vocals were given to three other producers close to the italian singer for remixing. stand high patrol�s version offers a jazzy take on the track with unexpected footwork influences. twm, for his very first release, presents a steppers version made for the soundsystem. homeys brings a roots reggae touch with a flute part that leads the theme.

the duo dubdiggerz, hailing from the depths of slovenia, have been stirring up soundsystem culture a fair bit the past few years. even though the two-headed moniker has been taking part in this movement since its inception in 2011, both mark and daniel have already given life to some of the heaviest dubplates. these have been in steady rotation since their very first productions were finished and cut to lacquers. their tailored focus on the meditative properties of basslines, to-the-point percussion and perfectly executed dub effects make every �dubdiggerz� cut a special occasion. without surprise, this has already led to support from some of the most established names in dubstep, including joe nice, distance, v.i.v.e.k, j:kenzo and sleeper. mark and daniel have a promising release schedule in 2017, releasing their first music on vinyl thanks to the trust of america�s dubstep ambassador joe nice and his acclaimed gourmetbeats imprint � something both producers are very grateful for. their involvement in the deepend! movement, �a like- minded group of individuals conspiring to advance their soundsystem culture concepts�, will result in their consecutive vinyl release � and more be unveiled later this year. bazzwarz is the producers� bi-monthly radio shows, which is broadcasted via the dj�s live-streaming community chew.tv. this and their respected deepend! sessions have given them the opportunity to invite international producers to the show and play exclusive material from around the globe, soon streaming their 100th broadcast - with the first broadcast aired in 2011. therefore make sure to keep an eye on dubdiggerz, a promising moniker that has a lot in store for you and the rest of the world.

the cold busted label unearths more funky nuggets from the fertile russian soil with this brilliant 7� single from moscow�s anatoly ice. dj, producer, and host of the funk and beyond parties and radio show (running for nearly ten years), anatoly ice has been drawn to the swing of a phat beat for a long while. this single bursts with old school funk and new school attitude, beginning with �something happened (2me)�. a vintage drum kit and melodic horns are joined by a big hip hop rhythm as the vocals and horn section are expertly cut up and rearranged. the song�s catchy hook � also the title � is left nearly intact and should playfully dance around any b-boy�s head as he does his thing. flip the record for �light�, which exhibits a strutting breakbeat and some g-funk sauce in its prominent synth line. funky piano, guitar, and bass provide the backdrop, soundtracking a midnight cruise through the bad (as in good) part of town. hold tight � anatoly ice is at the wheel.

our next release is coming from phil evans. phil is also part of the new generation of dj�s and producers that are hailing from the rhein-main area around frankfurt. together with his best mate markus sommer he is running the label pager records. he caught our attention already a while ago and so we were quite happy to receive the tracks for this ep from him. he has a lot of personality in his productions already and his musical range is also quite large going from hip hop to house, but also more stripped down stuff or chicago house references can be found in his music selection and influences. besides that he is a lovely and very sympathetic young man and so it is definitely worth keeping an eye on him, because he is on fire.

there is a couple downstairs they don�t specially like each other and nothing matches between them, but they are together everyday and they said things could be worst. they have two large boxes with one hole hiding their faces so they just see what they want to see. they select what is important to look at and stare at it for hours. sometime they may both look at the same thing but they don�t even know it. this is a small part of the soundtrack running in their boxes.

solid gold playaz hails from winsconsin usa. the duo, kenny gino & big mike are veterans of the midwest rave, techno and house scene and have released their incredible productions on moods & grooves, kanzerlamt, soulfuric trax, silver network, losonofo records. minds beneath atlantis was originally released in 2003 by jeff ks silver networks. jerome (of still music) immediately fell for this deep house 4 tracker and that record has been steadily in jeromes crates through the years. jerome remembers reaching out to kenny gino back then and they ve been friends since then. this reissue is a teaser for a larger project with solid gold playaz that will be released on still music later this year.

early pioneers of the german new wave music scene, din a testbild were formed in 1978 by mark eins and gudrun gut (former member of einstürzende neubauten, mania d. and malaria!). din a testbild played a significant role in defining the avant-garde music of berlin. legendary is their partecipation at the festival genialer dilletanten- in 1981. programm 3 is their third album. mixed and auto-produced by mark eins with help of ziggy schöning, it was released on klaus schulzes record label innovative communication in 1983.

matthias puech composes electronic music, designs musical instruments and exlores the nature of computing and mathematics in a single artistic gesture. his music, a collection of contemplative stills of imaginary landscapes, is in major part composed on modular synthesizers and features unique experimental devices that matthias creates. these delicate sonic landscapes draw their inspiration from the physically of natural and animal sounds and form the beauty of mathematical concepts, being a research scientist by day.

for release number four octo champ brings his not quite here yet ep to the table and hits a house music home run and then some. two part summery club jams, two part dreamy morning after grooves, packed with deep synth swells, diva-esque vocal samples and sultry basslines. this one�s bringing the summer to winter 2017.

aequilon records proudly present it�s superb first release! boyd goosman (who used to be part of the techno outfit noirdegout) was known for his powerfull releases on no fear records, and white noise (dave clake�s imprint) which have been played by some of the most recognised djs of the scene (laurent garnier, fabrice lig, dave clarke ...). he now works on his own, finding his niche in strong but deep and evocative techno. this new material on aequilon show his love for electro, detroit vibes, but also berlin�s modern techno. after spending so many hours in recent years dancing all other europe on the weirdest and wild dancefloors, boyd goosman felt that it was the right moment to express again his unique sonic trademarks. for this first release on aequilon, we asked to berlin�s resident cadency aka héctor oaks (reclaim your city, key vinyl, oaks records ...) to deliver an absolute killer remix of �lost control� and he did it with an ultraphat bassheavy monster!

ultimate block party breaks volume 4 continues the tradition that began in the bronx in the 1970�s, where �break djs� would take that one part of the record that dancers would go absolutely crazy for. that part where all the music breaks down to nothing but the essence: drums and percussion. these are all truly timeless beats that sound as fresh today as they did when the founding fathers like kool herc, bam, flash and hollywood were catching them for the frst time in community centers throughout the city. we�ve edited and extended these breaks for maximum effect on the dancefloor - so you don�t have to. enjoy!

the search from collocutor, the band�s second lp, is the story of a journey, from disillusionment to new beginnings, alienation to belonging, darkness to hope. it is a journey that can be interpreted as spiritual, emotional or physical/geographical, depending on the listener�s own experiences. tamar osborn, the band leader and composer says: �this wasn�t planned as a �concept� album, but as the four main compositions developed they and their titles fell into a natural narrative order and the theme of the album became apparent. the three improvised conversations were an opportunity to explore musically the meaning of �collocutor� - a person taking part in a conversation - and how this applies to performance, and also to expand the textural range of the ensemble by dividing it into smaller groupings and freeing the musicians from structured composition.�

much interest domestically and abroad has been generated over the years about an indie soul label in san diego, ca called musette records, whose short life span (1965-1968) only produced less than 20 singles, and no full albums. more than 40 years later, musette would achieve the collectible status among record buyers of northern soul, who recognize and appreciate the r&b grooves that pulsated on these now extremely rare singles.

10th release on fasrat is the debut record of mr yo so hailing from the west pomerania region of poland (same as his label mate das komplex), rafal reich is an experienced musician. from playing piano in modern jazz groups to woodwinds in a brass band and synths in his home studio, his music displays rare sensibility and an ear for lovely melodies. delicious brings together six tracks recorded during last few years, from dreamy new age-ish soundtracks to proper balearic sunrise/sunset anthems, with obvious echoes of 70s lords of synth. cheesy, yes, but its this kind of rich, mature, delicious cheese we all like, dont we?
